DU this poll! Tim McGraw/Faith Hill speak out against Bush!
snip...
"To me, there's a lot of politics being played and a lot of people trying to put people in bad positions in order to further their agendas," McGraw, a 38-year-old native of Delhi, La., told ABC News Radio.

"When you have people dying because they're poor and black or poor and white, or because of whatever they are -- if that's a number on a political scale -- then that is the most wrong thing. That erases everything that's great about our country."

McGraw specifically criticized President Bush. "There's no reason why someone can't go down there who's supposed to be the leader of the free world … and say, 'I'm giving you a job to do and I'm not leaving here until it's done. And you're held accountable, and you're held accountable, and you're held accountable.

"'This is what I've given you to do, and if it's not done by the time I get back on my plane, then you're fired and someone else will be in your place. '"

Hill: 'I Fear for Our Country'

5. Exactly
And celebrities can get the public to take notice. The corporate media certainly isn't doing its job of informing people.

rightwing media NEVER asks these questions when "celebrities" sing the praises of our fascist dictator.

13. Freedom of Speech
How many people in this country actually have the right to free speech? It just amazes me how many polls come out asking if particular people have a right to speak their opinion. If rappers speak out against the President there is a poll. If Hollywood stars speak out against the President there is a poll. If the mother or father of a fallen soldiers speaks out against the President there is a poll. It is beginning to seem that the only people who have a guaranteed right to free speech are the Repbulican supports of Bush.

Why should musicians or anyone else not speak their opinion on any subject? Is this not the reason this country was formed so that people could have the right to free speech? Sometimes I think these polls come up more when celebrities say things critical of Republican leaders. Maybe it is just that I did not have internet during the Clinton years, but I do not remember the media asking if celebrities had the right to criticize the President.
