Rhode Island General Assembly Won't Act on Impeachment Request

I am ashamed to share, that after almost a month and with the help of several prominent Constitutional Law types, not one elected official of our Democrat controlled legislature is willing to act to send a joint resolution to the US House Floor for an expedited hearing on Articles of Impeachment against Bush and his "High Command".

Bush has the lowest approval ratings in RI among all other states. In fact, www.rifuture.org, a local blog shows over 70% of RI'ers favor the general assembly acting on this request. This supports the 4,600+ votes on a recent Daily Kos survey.

It's been a month and after three requests (one public, one in writing and one by email), I think it's time for the DU community to unleash hell on all elected officials whose incumbency means more than leadership by example.

1. K&R This is REALLY disappointing. I had been following some of the Kos

stories and had hoped that a grassroots effort for Impeachment at the State level would be a way to pressure or go around the DINOs and frightened Dems and Repugs in Congress.

Let them give their reason for refusing to support this.

There is a stronger case for impeachment of Bush than Clinton's was. ALL the constitutional experts say tha same thing.

It's time to break through this fear of the big, bad Republicans.
