Credit to Republicans
I am thinking that within the next few days the media will try to give all the credit for bringing down the Dubai ports deal. As far as I can remember as far as Congress goes the Democrats were the first to come out against this deal. It seems that the Republicans only got on board with this when they realized that they could lose votes on the issues if they do not come out against the deal. I think it is sad that the Republicans might get credit for this when it was the Democrats were the one who got things going. The media alway tries to make out like Democrats are clueless, have no ideas, and cannot get anything done. Democrats deserve to get credit for this. They saw the threat to national security and they stood up for the people. So why can the media not point that out?

1. Dems took a very hard hit in the MSM
unfortunately. GOP fell into the sewer and came up smelling like roses. Again.

2. That may be the way they are spinning it, but like Katrina
it allowed a glimpse for a short time of how bad this administration is. People are suspicious and they are beginning to see that things aren't what the media says they are. It may happen slowly, but people may see that things have gone way too far. The hubris of the Bush administration makes this more likely.

3. I have heard the media point that out
exactly the way you framed it. Hopefully, they'll continue to do so.

4. Been saying it all year...
They're going to run on the "see, we're not as bad as shrub", platform.

My biggest fear is that it will work. :scared:
