There comes a time when we all must face the truth....even Republicans...
And the sad truth is that we are being led by a bunch of greedy incompetents, carrying a message of "lower taxes", while our nation slides perilously close to bankruptcy and world war. The all-hat and no-cattle president talks the talk very well to a certain percentage of his followers but he doesn't walk the walk.

The truth is that they escaped responsibility for the disaster now known as 9/11 when we now know they had information that could have prevented it. And if it had been a Democrat in office, it would have been stone around the neck of our Party for generations to come.

On top of that, they lied us into a war, which may spread into a civil war thru-out the entire Middle East. They did not know what they were doing. They were arrogant and incompetent. Now, he paints his Party into a corner by coming out prematurely and announcing his support for the sale of our ports to an Arab country, albeit an ally, and they have to slap him down in order to preserve their own political viability in the next elections. Indeed, their cup of incompetence overflows.

1. They are arrogant, and often incompetent - but I think they do
know what they're doing. They wanted war; they got war. They wanted to siphon taxpayer money to big business; another mission accomplished. And they wanted to oppress and squeeze the middle and lower classes; in that, too, they have succeeded.

2. It would be bad enough
if they were competent. Their policies are bad for the country even if their administrative skills were adequate. The incompetence just piles on the damage and the only thing they are really godd at is smear and propaganda.

3. They are not incompetent, they plan, they execute,
they succeed. Other than Social Security most of their agenda has succeeded.

They wanted tax cuts, they got tax cuts, they wanted war, they got war. Where is the incompetence?

I will not accept the port deal as a failure, yet. I don't think we know enough about it to come to a conclusion yet.

5. One reason: they own the media
I really think if we still had journalists and multiple ownership of newspapers, radio, TV, we'd have a different scenerio on our hands. But the few media moguls we have all support the Bushco agenda, and have been helping him in any way they can.
