Has RFK Jr. ever considered politics?
I really didn't know much about RFK Jr. until I started listening to Ring of Fire on AAR. He really impresses me. Does anyone who knows more about him know,,, do you think he'll ever run for office? Seems extremely knowledgeable, concerned about the right things. I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.

3. He considered a run for
AG in '06 but decided against it for family reasons. He is one of the greats, love his show.

5. Me too
I don't get to listen all the time but when I do he does a great job. :) I think he's more of an enviornmentalist than a politician and that's still an important job for our society.

4. Sure.

A number of people have spoken to him about the possibility. In 2000, he gave brief consideration to running for the senate. His books -- which every progressive democrat should read -- address some of his thinking in this area.

edit to add:

6. I'd give every ounce I had to give to campaign for him.
Soon, I think. I think that the draw is there, and eventually, the gauntlet will be thrown.

8. Yeah, he has the fever.
I really like the speeches of his that I have read. I haven't seen him in action but I bet he is good.

7. He does have some problems
He's got some typical Kennedy baggage. I believe he had a heroin problem in college. But he can get past that, but everyone has talked about how despite his lineage, he's really not very comfortable on TV. A lot of people have talked about how he tightens up before he goes on TV and isn't really able to relax when he does interviews.

12. I don't know Bill Maher
but I do know that Chris Matthews wouldn't say that. I do not believe you. And because you would attribute something untrue to Matthews, I assume you would do the same with Mahers.

15. It's not THAT
That "nervousness" is a vocal disorder. The same one NPR's Diane Rehm has, I think. Imagine her interviewing him...
Probably a reason he'd have a hard time running.

16. I read recently that it is fixable, so I wondered why he hasn't
"fixed" it. Anyway, I don't think it is a case of nerves because he does very well on radio.
