Is the American Far Right a Threat to the United States?
I sincerely hope that Bush is spying on the Republican far right. The worst terrorist incident against our country was committed by Islamic right wingers. Why wouldn't the funny uncles in the GOP far right align themselves with Islamists? They share a lot of beliefs.

A bunch of these nuts are drooling for Armageddon right now and think it is OK to nudge history in that direction. That means that they are trying to destroy the United States, doesn't it? Is there a United States somewhere in Revelations? I don't think so. Hence, the far right wingers are purposely trying to drive history toward a future in which the United States ceases to exist. Ergo, they want the destruction of the United States. QED.

Let's not forget that the second worst terrorist incident against our country was committed by right winger (and registered Republican) Timothy McVeigh. When looking for real treason, the kind where the party in question actually attacks the Constitutional government of the United States, look no further than the far right.

They have a record. Let's spy on them.

(We might as well. They think we are anyway.)

(We probably really are.)

1. I have been saying this since 2001
Fundie Muslims and Fundie Christians are just different sides of the same coin.

I just hope the majority of Americans are now beginning to understand that.

3. I'm sorry, but I have a very difficult time taking your post seriously...
Who the HECK do you think has been in control of this country since the Coup of December 2000???

Who the HECK do you think consolidated their control via the Patriot Act following 911???

Who the HECK do you think was the recepient of the major tax cuts for the top 1%???

Who the HECK do you think ordered the illegal and immoral invasion/occupation of both Afghanistan and Iraq???

Who the HECK do you think is benefitting from the downward spiral of the economy and the upward spiral of gas and oil prices???

Who the HECK do you think would not only benefit from another terrorist attack on the U. S. in terms od tighter controls on the population and an excuse to attack Iran???

4. My Ditto-head Brother fits your description.
He says I'm so wrapped up trying to make this life a quality one because I don't care about eternity. You see, we really shouldn't put much effort in saving this life because all we really need to do is get ourselves right with God so we can enjoy eternity in heaven. He absolutely believes in all this pre-determined dogma about armageddon and we might as well hasten it rather than fight it or hope it doesn't happen. He says it's all right there in Revelations. And I asked him according to whose interpretation? Have you ever tried to make sense of that book? It was written by someone on a crack bender for sure. But these people believe what they want and are force feeding it to everyone they can.

6. In that respect
it's a disgusting philosophy. Don't bother to do anything worthwhile for people in this life...if they're saved they'll have a pleasant eternity.

Yeah, and tyrants and slave owners have been using this meme to control the population for centuries.

Nice to know it still works. :sarcasm:

7. They already ally with them...
...on a number of issues:

subjugation of women
oppression of homosexuals
suppression of free speech and a free press
fake outrage over the seperation between church and state
acceptance of things like torture and assassination
desire for war and more war

They are kindred spirits with the same depraved fire and brimstone fantasies...

8. threat
The far-right own Bush. The far-right are theofascists like Falwell, Robertson and Dobson whose ties to extremist/separatist hategroups go back at least 25 years. They've been promoting separatism and fomenting civil war for over two decades. But do we ever hear about threats from white, "christian" militias anymore? No. Who owns the media? Who owns the federal investigators? They track every move Cindy Sheehan makes, and beat her half to death when they arrest her now. But the militias still get a free pass.

All this means you'd better start preparing to defend yourself. They will come for you. No one is safe.
