The moderators and "powers that be" at DU send an e-mail to all DU members suggesting that each member call their Senators to express support of the Motion to Censure. Sometimes we all need a little extra push. If support monies for DU could be raised in record time, maybe a movement like this could be done in record time also. Against the rules? Done my calls already, done yours yet?

1. Yes, call our senators and ask if they support Russ's resolution

to censure Bush. I agree, would be great if this is an organized effort. You can call the Capitol switchboard toll free @ 888.355.3588. Word is that the response so far is they, the senator, doesn't have a position yet. I said what I had to say to staff and then said I'd call back. Senator Feinstein's office said they've been getting lots of calls.

But I do like trying to contact them at their Washington offices on matters of immediate import.

Got through to Feinstien's DC office, but Boxer's line was tied up big-time.

Spoke with her San Francisco office instead. :)

3. I think the Censure is a great idea! My local news last night actually

reported on it as well as the Conyers impeachment.

It is at least getting the word out!!

I've called Ted Stevens and Lisa Murkowski, and followed up both with emails in support of censure.

At least Murkowski's office didn't laugh me off the phone.
