18. Because it's the way things are done. Kerry and Kennedy talked to senators

and urged they lead or help lead a filibuster of Alito. If they didn't inquire beforehand, they would have gotten even more of a hatchet job from their own side.

Why do YOU think it's appropriate for any senator to SAY he has a resolution he came up with and NOT hand out prepared copies to other senators in the effort to include them and their support?

Isn't that one of the things that pisses us off about Bush? They demand support for their bills in congress, but hold off on the details till the vote.

15. I won't be contacting anyone on this right now, I think Feingold

chose the wrong time to go after Bush on this. It could have waited until after the 2006 elections when we held a little more power and had the backing of more of the American people. It would make a bolder statement coming with new Dem support in the Senate and the House.
