Senator Shelby,
I urge you to support Senator Feingold's motion to censure President Bush.
As you know, the war on terrorism must be fought, but our Constitutional Rights
must be protected.
I have no problem with wiretapping suspected terrorists, just do it legally, within
FISA. Mr Bush didn't do that, by his own admission.
The President assumes whatever he does is legal. That's just plain wrong. No man
is above the law, as Mr Nixon found out.
I happen to be active in liberal politics. Can I be assured that the NSA isn't monitoring me? I love my country, but oppose current policy. Am I the enemy?
Senator, you once were a Democrat, or so you said. Have you forgotten what
that means?

3. Good email, lib trucker!

I just emailed both of mine (Cantwell and Murray), telling them I want to see them stand by Feingold, and that I did not want them to use the excuse of waiting until closer to the November elections, or the even worse excuse that the Dems are in the minority. Of COURSE we're in the minority, but that does not mean that we (the Dems in Congress) cannot stand up and fight FOR what is right, and AGAINST what is wrong. I was somewhat harsh in my email to Cantwell, because she acts like a DINO too much of the time.
