is moot at this point.
I know I post about this every once in a while, and it seems like we have to move the chains back to where they belong.
2006 will determine what happens in 2008; there is no way around that, and 2008, at this point in time is a something that can be speculated upon, but truth is, no one knows what will happen until '06 is in the books.
NOW is the time to be working at the local level to aid D's in the House races, the Senate races, the Gubernatorial races, and local political races. the R's are terrified right now, and if we can pull the rug out, take back one, if not both houses of congress, and a bunch of governors and state houses, we'll bag the whole shebang in '08. We can start putting the nation back on track, reduce the deficit, seriously find ways to bring our troops home safely and leave a somewhat secure Iraq in our wake, and clamp down on the cancer that has become the corporate world of hell.
My fellow patriots and members of DU, if you want to discuss the world of speculation through the ether, fine...but get out and work on changing things!
Get voters registered and educated.
Make sure your school boards have decent progressive people on them.
Toss out those that support bush at the local level.
Get D's elected in your districts.
Move forward!
Sitting on DU speculating on Hillary or McCain is ridiculous. Really, think about this, if we get rid of Santorum, Frist and a host of other imbeciles, the R's will fold like a house of cards.
Get up, get moving and we can make a difference that our country can be proud of. Think about bush languishing in the WH for the end of his term, powerless because the enablers are gone! I'd be laughing my ass of at him sitting there wallowing in failure once again.
Forget '08 for right now, work on '06!!!
