Banned from FR again
Well I have gotten banned from FR again, and this time I was even trying to be polite but didn't even make it a week. Seems they just have no tolerance for an perspectives that doesn't include Rah, Rah, Bush.

I think this was the post on the ports deal that did it.

Yeah I am kind of confused here as I have been reading FR for awhile and I thought that all Arab countries were our mortal enemies because they are all full of Muslims which as everyone knows is the most evil religion in the world.

But now it seems that Arabs, or I guess at least those who live in the UAE are our butt buddies and we just can't do enough for them after everything they have done for us. So I would suppose that also means the Muslims, those in the UAE at least, are no longer an evil religion, or maybe just partly evil, but then, well like I said, I'm just confused now.

1. I got banned for my second post
I don't remember what my first was, but I got banned for saying that Ann Coulter doesn't seem very nice.

Free Republic? Freepers are very good at irony, I'll give them that.

2. Yeah, like having Iron between their ears. It's scary to think I
live in a country where a significant amount of the population can't think beyond follow the leader. But then that was what got the Germans too.

4. They have there guidelines just as we do here at DU.
They're a private business, not the United States of America. (at least not yet!):-) Yikes!

They also say that we're not "Democratic" just as some say they're not "free".

Both entities are free to make rules as they choose within the law and the constitution as it pertains to any club.
is that right? it's late and I'm confused.

Say! Freedom_from_Chains, when you were over there at FR did you happen to see any discussions on the recent benefit dinner with Bush and mary Carey, the porn star? Are they ignoring it or what?

5. No I missed that
And you are correct FR is a privately owned business and the have the right to allow and not allow any members they wish. However, if they are going to portray themselves as a forum of free political ideas then it would seem to me that would mean a little more than just a love feast for all those who absolutely do not question our government.

7. I see that point now. The post upthread about how FR won't allow
questioning about Repuke politicians made it clear that, as a political forum, DU is far more tolerant of discussion than FR.

We shut it down once the nominee is settled upon, but prior to that...HOLY SHIT, it's a slugfest!:-)

I didn't know that about FR.

6. nah

You actually know how to spell and make long clauses agree. Your sentences are too long for them to understand.

But the real give-away is that you focus on us being good people rather than revelling in shameless soul-devoid hatred and stupid egotisms.

8. It does my heart good everytime the admins here update
their software with goodies like the new Journals. And I hate going over to FR to read some posts and wonder how they put up with that shitty software, but then again they put up with Bush and love him too..

9. They can never seem to grasp the fact......
that RimJob and his family are stealing them blind. They take every penny the freeps donate and put it into their own pockets, never even thinking of upgrading the site for their members. It's capitalism in it's most greedy, "I got mine, you get yours", form. Of course they live by that creed over there but you'd think they get tired of RimJob screwing them in the ass all the time. Actually, it seems they love to have their "leaders" lie, steal from and cheat them all the time. They blindly follow the bush administration who are screwing them even more than RimJob is and they just can't get enough. Born to be screwed, that's a freep for you!
