Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 09:25 PM by Phoebe Loosinhouse
party??!! How f!@#ed up is that? They are going to reform themselves and be the party of change?! I've already heard some Republican distancing - one said on one show recently "I'm a Reagan Republican". So get ready to head this one off.

As to Reagan Republicans:

I know that with his death there was an orgy of history re-writing, but:

Reagan was the guy who supplied arms for hostages and denied and then admitted his illegal activities
Reagan is the guy who ignored AIDS (bird-flu?)
Reagan is the guy with the misguided trickle-down, reward-the-rich philosphy

neo-Reagan Republicans are just like Bush Republicans -

It's Morning in America = Brunch in America (for the wealthy)- more of the same buffet if you can afford the entry fee.

2. One answer...
"Reform? So are you going to back public financing of elections?

"That's reform. Anything else is a bandaid over a septic wound."
