On another forum, a poster claimed that after 9/11, people in Arab nations made mass public displays of support and sympathy for the U.S.

Another poster, who believes that all Muslims hate the U.S., has challenged this statement.


Anybody got anything that shows some kind of Arab mass public outpouring of support for the U.S. (and/or condemning the attack) immediately after 9/11?

7. I was in Bali, Indonesia, on 9/11, an island composed of

primarily Hindus but with many Muslims in residence. Trust me, between the people who resided there and the vacationers, EVERYONE was on board against what happened, including Muslims.

8. I remeber hearing on NPR about how Syria

pulled it's files on Al Qaeda and turned over all their info to us, in sympathy w/ 9/11;

that even Iran demonstrated a sympathetic posture towards us immediately following 9/11

that all of our Middle Eastern good will was pretty much killed off with our invasion of Iraq.

But then,

Bush attacked, invaded and occupied Iraq

Now there are mass public displays of hatred and disgust AGAINST the U.S

The USA can't get anyone to side with them now without coercion, bribes or threats.

EVEN THEIR OWN CITIZENS!!

But that's Just My Canuk's Observations . . . .
