Majority Leader Boehner: Feingold more interested in terrorists'
safety than Americans' safety.

Boehner said today that he wonders if Russ Feingold is more concerned with the safety of the terrorists than he is with the safety of Americans.

Rep. Boehner is the new Majority Leader of the Republicans in the House of Representatives, and that he said this means that there is a full court press on Feingold and us to make up look like terrorist-lovers.

(I can't find a link, but I just heard it on Hardball and on CNN. )

I have written many times here about the rhetoric on the right. I have bemoaned the manner in which the right wing talking heads say that Democrats are aiding and abetting the enemy. Well now, the leader of the Republican party in the House of Representatives is leading the charge, and we need to fill his email box, his fax machine and his voice mail with outrage.

I am appalled. This kind of talk is the reason that Americans still give the Republicans a 10 point advantage over the Democrats when it comes to national security. This is incredibly divisive and dangerous - that because Feingold is calling the President to task over spying on Americans, he is more concerned with terrorists' safety than the safety of Americans.

That the head of the House of Representatives said this is incredible. That the media meekly reported it is even more incredible. There is a full-court press on to shut up Feingold and to shut us up, and we had better be aware of it. It is disgusting, disgraceful and immoral to lie about your fellow representative in Congress the way Boehner just did.

If this disturbs you as much as it did me, please call, write, fax the numbers below - I just did, and I think I was the first the office heard from. I hope I am not the last.

Rep. Boehner

Or, doesn't understand it.

Last I heard Censure was a permissable action to bring before the US Senate.

Pretty please??? I called AND I faxed - we need to cut this off at the path. This is the HEAD of the Republican party in the House of Representatives. Remember what they did to Senator Durbin???

8. These scumbag RWingers are Neo Facists.
They are hypocrites that don't care about The Constitution of the USA but only about their party's demise. The jerk-off Pres violated the Law on many occassions and is still doing so. The RWing needs to be crushed, not just voted out of office. Dems in Congress that do not support The Constitution need to be voted out of office and replaced with Dems that will support The Constitution!

Saying how disgusted I was and that he knows better. I also threw in that I know a lot of Repubs. who thought this was beyond the pale and they are now planning on staying home in '06. (OK, I don't know many Repubs. at ALL, but still...) ;)

13. Good job - thanks!
We need to make their lives uncomfortable with flooded emails, faxes, voice mails when they act like this.

14. I'm going to call tomorrow...
I signed my name on the fax. I don't want to call right after. I'm hoping their office will be flooded with calls and my name won't ring a bell as "the same person who just faxed us."

12. the only way to defeat terrorism is remove its motive
Edited on Thu Mar-16-06 07:24 PM by maxsolomon
getting "SOFT" in our WOT is more likely to end it than *'s retarded strategery.

after all, its what Jesus, Ghandhi, and MLK would do.

someone prominent needs to stand up & say "yes, i'm soft on terror. so what? your idea is plainly not working & we need to try an approach in line with the ethics of the 3 religions at the heart of this conflict."
