Poll question: Show 'em or Fold 'em - What would YOU do?
Edited on Sat Mar-18-06 01:19 AM by NanceGreggs
I'm interested in knowing how many DUers are satisfied, somewhat satisfied, or totally fed-up with our current crop of elected Democrats.

Imagine there was a run-off type of election tomorrow, where you could replace Senators and Congressmen. They're running against other Democrats, so this is not a matter of losing a seat.

It's like a poker game, where you can throw in any number of cards, in hopes of getting a better hand. This includes ALL Democratic representatives, not just those in your own state. What would you do?

1. 66 2/3%
I like my liberal Congresswoman Diana Degette. I would throw in BOTH my Senators Allard and Salazar and vote for 2 progressives

2. Oh, yeah (duh!)
I just realized I can vote in my own poll.

I voted to throw in ALL of my cards, with a few exceptions. I'd keep Feingold, Conyers, Boxer, Kennedy, and a few others. As for MOST of them, I'd throw them in the pile and HOPE I couldn't do WORSE.

What a sad commentary on how I feel about my own elected representatives right now.

4. I draw a few new ones.
I think this next election could be real interesting. This nucleus of "fighting Dems" who are running could make all the difference. Too many of the Democrats have been conditioned to acquiesce. Hopefully, some new blood that has no institutional memory of their Congressional role to 'get along' will infuse the members of the current body with some f that fighting spirit.

Busy rootin' for the greatest most wonderful candidate on the planet!

Has Max voted on the poll tonight? Or is he too busy chewing up another wall? You might want to think about obedience school for that dog if you're hoping to run for higher office in future - they really frown on that kind of behaviour at the White House.

No... he's busy chewing a hole in the wall or door. I'll see if I can distract him from his distruction and vote on the poll.

9. 25%
I'd be inclined to say 50%, except there's always the chance of getting worse. Taking that risk with 50% or more of Congress is too much. Can you imagine 50% of the Democrats being Zell Miller clones? It could happen.

Be careful what you wish for and all of that.

pessimist!
Hi, sandandsea! :hi:

It really doesn't matter, it's the dumb public who will vote - maybe.
