Why are people catatonic about this? Everyone is at the pump with a smile on their face.

I can't stand it. I ride a scooter around at 90 MPG.

1. The Jesus voters aren't exactly logical.

The Jesus voters aren't exactly logical. They've been taught,
across their whole lives, to disregard obvious observations
of cause leading to effect.

For others, they voted for Bush for a wide variety of reasons
and they can't now accept that their reasons for voting for
Bush were wrong. So they block the feelings that they
should be having about Bush screwing them so that they
don't need to face their erroneous choice.

2. I take buses. My question is why don't they realize that this is also why
there is not big money and a priority put on finding alternative energy sources?

5. More aptly because of mergers that are not only allowed, but encouraged
Buxh has done a stellar job of creating a corporate-friendly atmosphere for the new age robber-barons.

In the 60s there were hundreds of oil companies and gas was $.30 cents a gallon....now there are five oil companies.

For the administration and the oil companies to simutaneously blame the Arabs and hurricanes for high prices while reaping record profits is a scam on the working people. In essence it's just another way the tax burden has been shifted down the social ladder.

Another "mission accomplished".

6. Pubs did a better job of blaming Clinton for Vince Foster ...
than we have done blaming Bush for oil and gas prices, and Clinton was innocent!!

I know that Bush and Cheney are former oil men but what are they specifically doing to manipulate the price of oil and gas?

Gas will never be $0.30 a gallon again because the state and federal tax is much more than that. Here in Kansas I think the federal and state tax on gas is $0.43 a gallon.

I would like to connect the dots but cannot see how they can control the world price of oil and the price of gas in the US.

Maybe someone out there that knows more about the markets can enlighten me.
