My 13 yr old neice protests the war and makes the news!

March 17, 2006 —
Looks like everyone has some green on, but their protests
at the intersection of Cedar and Main Streets this afternoon
had nothing to do with St. Patrick's Day.

To see and hear the messages these teenagers are giving,
choose the video icon on the left.

(I opened it with RealPlayer)

I'm soooo proud of her and her friends!!
My neice is the one with the yellow peace sign and being interviewed in the video.

:loveya:

2. That was so sweet!
Very poignant to see all of this protesting all over the Nation today and there's gonna be some big ones tomorrow, too!

The kids are smart to do this..we need them to be interested NOW in order to HELP change the direction of our country.

And the kids that want the bombing and fighting ..well, I bet they can hardly wait to join up in bush's endless wars.

8. Yeah, he's a definite cutie!
They all are, and most importantly, they look like they are having fun. I am proud of every one of them, as they have more spine than most adults in this country.

15. I don't know if she learned from me...
...maybe!! ;-)
She knows I was in DC last September, with my youngest son.
I called her today and read her all the comments from all of you and she
was all giggly and then got very serious and told me she had organized
it and invited an additional 15 kids but a lot had changed their minds
at the last minute. I told her not to be disappointed but to be proud!!
That people are like that and that's the way it goes sometimes but she
was very happy to hear all of your wonderful comments and kudo's to her.
She wanted to call her friends and tell them too!
Then she told me all about her soccer tournament! LOL!
She''s a great gal!
Thank you for all the warm thoughts to her!
I wanted to encourage her and you all helped!

Yeah, there are a lot of 'yuppies' in that town, from what I've observed.
But there are also a lot of 'hippies' and liberals!
Sorry you weren't able to go!
But I wouldn't call her a rebel.
I'd call her a :patriot: !!

PS. But you CAN go tomorrow!!

On March 19th, the 3rd Anniversary of the War, our elected officials will be gathering
to laugh and joke for the Annual St. Patricks Day Breakfast in South Boston.

MFSO, along with Veterans For Peace, Iraq Veterans Against the War, and others will be
outside of the breakfast to let them know the war is no laughing matter!

Sunday March 19, 2006
8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Boston Convention Center
415 Summer St. in South Boston

The Convention Center is 5 blocks from the World Trade Center bus stop,
on the MBTA's Silver Line. Or take the #7 bus from South Station on the Red Line.
South Station is only 3/4 mile away.
There is on street parking as well as parking lots nearby, spots will fill up quickly.
