They're hoping their little man can bring about the end of the world so they can ascend to Heaven like their Lord and Savior.

Seriously, I think that a good many of the wing-nut base are looking for the world to end. That would explain the popularity of Tim Lahaye's books and the wingers' undying support for killing and maiming. And for supplying nuclear material to India. I always thought the next world war would be started by India and Pakistan. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the US would be the force behind it all...
