Santorum's reelection is Specter's "top priority"
Jim C. at Rittenhouse caught this LTTE:

"While Sen. Santorum and I disagree on issues, I believe that he has done an excellent job for Pennsylvania and ought to be reelected. Without his support, I would not have won the 2004 Republican primary. Sen. Santorum's reelection is my top priority in 2006."
-Sen. Arlen Specter

I hope other Pennsylvanians will see that their well-being is nowhere near Specter's top priority.

1. Don't worry!
Specter is a moderate Republican, after all.
:sarcasm:

You'd think that good ol' Arlen's top priority would be, oh, the Judiciary Committee or something else in which he's directly involved.

2. 'You kiss my ass and I'll kiss yours'
Wouldn't you know that Specter's top priority is securing the Republican majority in Congress. This is so much more important than doing his job of working for the good of this country. Dino might.

4. I kind of tolerated ...
Spector ... But, he has sold his soul to Santorum ... I WANT to believe that he is kind of old school, and will do what is right in the context of having some party loyalty ... BUT, these hearings he just held on the NSA thing served only as a whitewash, and his deference to Santorum is not acceptable ...

First things first, getting behind Casey and putting a stake in Santorum's heart, and making sure that the masses in PA don't get dulled into voting Swann into the governors mansion - a COMPLETE disaster waiting to happen ... THEN, work on letting Spector move on to his next job ...

7. That's the final straw with Specter for me...
Being from PA, I wanted to have a senator that I could kind of/just a teensy little bit/barely register actually NOT loathing. But this is the final straw. And it also explains why Specter is bending over, forward and backward, for the religious right...he made a deal with the devil(s) in 2004.
