7. Premature.
Ridiculously premature and speculative at this point.

Why don't we just wait to see who files to run in the primaries and then start batting polls around?

In the meantime, much more urgently, we have the House and Senate to win back.

17. Al Gore denies planning an ’08 presidential bid (AP, MSNBC)
You have to accept the fact that Gore has shut the door to running for President in 2008. Let's recognize that Gore is happy with his life now and he wants to enjoy what he has left and not put his family for something that he no longer has ambition for. I respect that!

Al Gore denies planning an ’08 presidential bid

Former vice president says he hasn’t ruled out a future in politics

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Former Vice President Al Gore said Monday he’s not planning to run for president in 2008 but hasn’t ruled out a future in politics.

“I’m enjoying what I’m doing,” Gore told an audience at Middle Tennessee State University, where he gave a lecture on global warming, one in a series.

“I’m not planning to be a candidate again. I haven’t reached a stage in my life where I’m willing to say I will never consider something like this,” he said. “But I’m not saying that to be coy; I’m just saying that to be honest — that I haven’t reached that point.”

12. I vote for Wes Clark, because the man has ideas.....even if others don't
want to give him credit for them.

Biden's speech today was a knock off of Clark's suggestion and repeated insistance that we must insure that the constitution is amended to include the minority parties before we leave.

Also on Larry King; Clark's Iraq ideas for Iraq in terms of using the military only as leverage to solve the big Iraqi political problem (Robin Wright-Last of the journalists who actually knows WITF she's talking about said this), by using it as leverage against the Iraqi government (threatening that we would start redeployment right away--in other words, leave; which the Government doesn't want to happen just yet) in order to get them to do this.

Also, Bush has announced that They will start talks with Iran. Again, Wes Clark was first at promoting this idea (not that Bush will do it right, he won't) of "just talking to them".

Regardless of whether he ever runs or wins an election, Wes Clark's ideas are being used....and he told his supporters a long time ago that this is the most important thing to him.....it is a form of winning.

Wes may not get there....but he has done a lot of good while on the path. Considering that he holds no elected office, he's good at being ignored and heard....all at the same time!

16. How about Hugo Chavez?
If Bush doesn't give a damn about the Constitution, why should we care whether our choice for President was born in the US or not?
