Will Bush shake up his staff??
The NYTimes is reporting today that either Karl Rove or more likely, Andy Card maybe on the way out, as Bush, looking at the poll numbers, although he says he doesn't, might want to shake his staff up. We all know Bush is loyal, sometimes to be fault, but a shakeup now, when he's imploding, will acknowledge the fact that he knows he's in deep doo-doo.

2. No.
He's not getting rid of Andrew Card and the only way he'll get rid of Rove is if/when Rove is indicted.

4. I doubt he will. You're right that he would view that as an
admission of some failure, and we all know he won't ever do THAT!

13. That's my take on it, too. If he were to make changes after it has
been suggested in the media, he would see it as showing weakness or lack or resolve. He might accept their resignations, if they were offered, as a face saving alternative.

6. Nor will a shakeup change that
After all, he'll only pick another anti-American Constitution Hater to replace any of the ones he ditches. So what difference will it make?

14. Meet the new repugs, same as the old repugs
Indeed. If bringing in John "Tobacco Check" Boehner is their idea of cleaning up the Tom Delay Congress, there's not much to be said for a so-called "shake-up."

9. I think Rumsfeld will be the goat of choice, just before the Nov elections
Rumsfeld is an incompetent fool, but I bet he's going to take the fall for everything perceived as "gone wrong" with the Iraq situation and then some.

Despite whatever claims Bush makes that he thinks Rumsfeld is doing a good job, I think Bush is going to fire him before the elections so his mindless Republican voters will jump in unified joy now that the culprit of Republican's demise has been discovered and outed...or so they will think. They'll make it come off like none of it was ever Bush's fault of course. It was always someone elses, and what better way to do it by firing one person and only one, come this Fall. If he cleans house, then what's that say about him as a judge of anything? I think it'll just be Rumsfeld.

11. He would have to replace them with members of the Crime Family,
I suspect the pool of available criminals is shrinking. How many are willing to be in th spotlight when the house of cards falls? Who wants to be 'on board' when the Crime Family con-job of 9-11 is exposed?

12. Beyond a few cosmetic changes, no
There have been several articles in the right wing media and one or two in the good puppy press about how it's been increasingly difficult to find replacements for staffers who have quit, usually citing the long hours required, the necessity of uprooting one's family, blah blah blah.

Translation: people get disgusted when they find out who and what this guy is and they leave. They tell everybody they know. Word starts to get around, and nobody else wants the job.
