About six months ago Reid shut down the Senate - What's come of it?
We were mostly cheering as Roberts said he would start up the (not sure if this is right) 9/11 investigation again. Don't believe I've heard anything about it since. With Roberts trying to bail shrubeenie's ass out on on the illegal spying have the repressives been able to sidestep the investigation again?

1. No, it was about the second phase of the run-up to this war.
The repigs were stonewalling on releasing crucial papers, they still are, and I haven't heard a word about it either. Why take such a 'brave' step to just let it drop?

2. My point exactly. Reid is threatening filibuster and
repugnants must be laughing. Nothing's come from his last (I hate to say this) stunt. He was mollified and forgotten.
Thanks for correcting the issue. Coming down with a cold and am brain dead.

3. LOL, guess what, nothing has come of it! Reid's request to begin
phase two of the leadup to the Iraq war is being stonewalled by the head of the intelligence committee- I believe his is Senator Roberts.

4. Roberts, who had actually written Kerry that he didn't think it
had to be done - in reponse to Kerry's request in his "DSM" letter from (some time in spring) 2005.

5. Pat Roberts is blocking the second phase
Pat Roberts is blocking the second phase of the intelligence failure investigation. I read that Roberts is trying to define the review on the basis of lining up any intelligence that supported any of the bush statements and ignoring all evidence that cast doubts on such intelligence. The Democrats are not going along with this methodology and so the report is being blocked.

6. From ThinkProgress
http://www.thinkprogress.org/ Senate Coverup Committee update: The Phase II report on the misuse of Iraq intelligence will not examine how “political appointees at the Pentagon deliberately distorted intelligence and subverted analysis by the Central Intelligence Agency to gin up support for the invasion.” Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS) “didn’t offer a timetable” for an investigation into “activities before the war by the office of former Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Douglas Feith.”
