Why is W Campaigning & Raising $ for Repukes on Goverment Time?
Edited on Fri Mar-24-06 12:40 PM by wordpix2
In CT, there is a furor over the governor's chief of staff, Lisa Moody, sending invitations to a fundraiser on government time (Mon.-Fri. business hours). These people are supposed to be governing, not campaigning and raising money for themselves and their repig friends. Yet BushCheney aren't even trying to hide the fact they're doing all kinds of fundraising/campaign events for their repuke crony candidates.

These assholes should be figuring out a way to solve the problems they've created in Iraq and at home. Instead they're flying around going to parties and events to raise money for the same like-minded assholes who back them.

:grr:

1. Frankly
This is about he can do. No one in his administration trusts him with other tasks so they send him out day after day to say the same things over and over again and then shmooze with the moneyed people. The term prostitute comes to mind here.

2. And his vacation time! Glory, he spends more time on vacation
than on fundraising.

3. Didn't Clinton do it too? And presumably those before him?
I detest BushCo as much as anyone here, but I think we can only bash Bush on this specific thing if he is doing something new. And I think he isn't - I think it is a problem with the law (or lack thereof).

Although I agree it does seem to be a double standard with what is happening to Lisa Moody in CT. But, state law may differ on this subject.

Can anyone correct me or shed more light on the situation?

4. Don't discourage him--it's worth its weight in gold to us campaign-wise
Anyone who takes money from Bush can be tarred with the "Bush brush"--especially if they profess to be in opposition to his policies. As New Jersey governor Jon Corzine put it, his opponent was "Bush's choice--is he yours?" Vote for a Repub, and you'll get more of the same!!!

6. Because there is no one who is able and/or willing to stop him.
He is running amuck with total disdain for legality.
