Since the Republicans are going to use the noun "Democrat" as an adjective
Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 01:48 PM by gristy
as in these headlines from Newsmax, for example:

Surprise Battleground State: Democrat Stronghold of Hawaii
Democrat Landlord Bilks Republican's Homeless Shelter
Democrat Senators Blast Mystery Spy Project
Infamous Democrat County Tries to Replace Thousands of Ballots

I think I'll pronounce Republican as Republicon. No overt emphasis on "con", but "con" it will be from now on.

3. Bush said "Democrat" instead of Democratic recently when once again
Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 01:53 PM by kenny blankenship
he insinuated that the Democratic Party aids the terr'sts.
"I did notice that nobody from the Democrat Party has actually stood up and called for getting rid of the terrorist surveillance program. You know, if that's what they believe, if people in the party believe that, then they ought to stand up and say it. They ought to stand up and say the tools we're using to protect the American people shouldn't be used. They ought to take their message to the people and say, vote for me, I promise we're not going to have a terrorist surveillance program."

It may be spelled R-E-P-U-B-L-I-C-A-N, but it's properly pronounced, nät'sē

6. how about just calling them "Publicans"?
After all, the Bible views "publicans and sinners" in an unfavorable light.

7. I call on all of our elected Democrats, and spokespeople, to one day...
as one, start calling the other party the Republic party. It's the equivalent of their calling us the "Democrat" party, when they know full well the adjective is Democratic. And let's see how they like it. The attempt by their wingnuts to rename OUR party -- the party of Thomas Jefferson, FDR, and JFK -- which has existed more or less since the founding of this country, burns me up.

8. This nonsense started with Reagan making "liberal" a dirty word.
Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 02:05 PM by no_hypocrisy
Then #41 continued with "the 'L' word".

Now "democrat" is a pejorative description. I've had it. Let's go out and kick some elephant ass!!!
