Better late than never ...just watched "Good Night & Good Luck"
amazing. Ed Morrow could have given almost every speech he made at that time NOW.

Wish I'd seen it sooner. It never came to this Bush/Cheney leg humping enclave I live in.

3. He fought the establishment which he saw as fascist
One of the mothers of my friends was investigated as a spy because she had worn off her fingerprints because of her typist jobs for the feds.

4. I've never seen the movie but I'm a big fan of Murrow
It's a shame he didn't give up smoking.

5. I bought it yesterday!
A beautiful film. I will be using it when teaching the background to Miller's "The Crucible." Lots of 15 year olds will be seeing this movie.

6. Excellent movie. It is really an important film for people to see who care
about not repeating bad history...fear of communism = fear of terrorism...both tools for setting up fascism

7. What pissed me off is the obviousness that we never learn ...
... from history. There it is - right in front of our faces.
And folks JUST DONT GET IT.

8. yeah, that went through my mind too. Especially when thinking that
there a more than a few corrupt individuals in the Bush administration who must have cut their frigging eye teeth on McCarthyism.

10. I finally watched it last night
along with a friend who's somewhat apolitical (though she's getting better). When it was over, she said what really depressed her, is that you never hear anyone speak to the public like Morrow did. She knew the news had been dumbed down since we were kids, but never realized how much until hearing Morrow's words last night.
