Bush* abmn. offers a NEW JUSTIFICATION for the Invasion of Iraq!
Edited on Sun Mar-26-06 12:21 PM by bvar22
During her appearance on MTP this morning, Condo Rice told Potato Head, "We neeeded to change the idiology of the Middle East." (I believe this is an exact quote, IIRC.) This is perhaps the most TRUE statement given by the bush* administration for the Invasion and Occupation of Iraq.

I wish Potato Head had asked Condo,

*" And do you believe that killing over 100,000 Iraqi civilians (men, women, children) (Lancet), maiming 400,000 Iraqi civilians, spending a $Trillion of US Taxpayers money, killing 2500 young Americans, maiming 40,000 young Americans for life was necessary to change the ideology of the Middle East.

*"Who gave you the authority to decide that the Middle Eastern (notice she said "Middle east", NOT Iraq) ideology is WRONG, and YOUR ideology is RIGHT?

The more her smugly arrogant statement swirls aroung the bowl in my brain, the more pissed off I become.

1. It was only a matter of time before the PNAC plan
came out on the national news.

I knew they'd do this. The arrogance is beyond belief.

3. OK, so let me make sure I have the latest correct...
It's not about Iraq's involvement in the 9/11 attacks, we know that isn't true now.

It's not about Saddam Hussein harboring terrorists or helping Osama bin Laden, we know that is also not true.

It's not about weapons of mass destruction, and Iraq's threat to the United States, we know that's a lie.

It isn't about the oil in Iraq, which we so desperately need. (Oops, I guess that should be the U.S. oil companies desperately need...)

It isn't about fighting terrorism over there so we don't have to over here.

It's NOW about changing the ideology of the Middle East?

Who the fuck put us in charge of the world?

This position makes US the terrorists, the aggressors. It's no longer about protection, it's about forcing change elsewhere. Whatever happened to diplomacy?

4. Changing the ideology...
...from a secular nation that despite brutal oppression of political opponents, also had the most free female population and strong professional, moderate communities to one that kowtows to Sharia law and oppresses its religious minorities AS WELL AS oppressing political opponents. Ok, gotcha! Yeah, the Bush admin is doing GREAT things. Democracy is on the march, and it'll roll right the fuck over anyone that doesn't agree with a fundamentalist vision of an apocalyptic future.

5. But it backfired.
Yes, the neocons have changed the ideology of the Middle East - by creating more fundamentalists.

6. And in addition
Does that anorexic shoe fetishist self loathing viper honestly believe that we have 'changed the ideology of the middle east'? I see no evidence that we have done anything other than solidify support for the Iranian theocracy in Iran and for hardline anti-US anti-Israeli organizations such as Hamas. We changed the ideology of the middle east in the sense that we have abolished moderation and modernity as ideological forces. I don't think that was quite what the ever more obviously clueless Ms Rice actually meant.

7. And did you notice when she was pressed about...
15 of the hijackers coming from Saudi Arabia, she brushed that aside saying, "Yes but several of them came from all OVER the Middle East, and the Middle East, including Iraq, is what fosters this ideology of hatred that caused these men to fly airplanes into buildings..." She just got away with it, as usual.

9. That's the neocons' Achilles Heel.
If she was quizzed by one of the tough British interviewers like Jeremy Paxman she would never get away with it.

13. Can't wait to read the transcript.
Her reasoning was so convoluted that the words were hard to follow. But yes, she did spin something that translated as: "Saddam was not directly involved and did not have WMD...but he was directly involved and did have WMD." Well, ya gotta admit, it was quite a coaching job.

8. "Spreading Freedom" recently debunked in Afghanistan
The Bush administrations latest justification of "spreading freedom" must be changed because of the Christian convert in Afghanistan possibly getting the death penalty for not practicing Islam. It demonstrated to the world that there isn't actually any freedom in Afghanistan nor will there be in Iraq. It is a lie just like the WMD claim...

So now bring in the latest justification....ideology of hate.

Condi represents the "ideology of hate" just as much as the fundamentalists.

11. Meet The Press or should we call it Meet the GOP Talking Points
For the past three weeks Meet the Press has had 2 Generals, and now Condi on for 30 mins. in the beginning of the show. All by themselves no counter balance. Is the show always structured like that? Or just when the Bush admin is in political trouble?

14. Ah yes, need a new reason to keep this thing going.
People are beginning to tire of the last excuse.

How many times will Limbug, Hunnity, et. al. say the word "ideology" this week?

18. Invading a sovereign Nation to change their Regime is...
ILLEGAL under Intl. Law which the USA has signed on to. This is why the Usurper to the Presidency and Colon Powsell had to go the the UN to lie about WMDs in Iraq.
