Bush bumbling all over map, see
<snip>

Bush explained that in addition to commander in chief, he’s also the “educator in chief.” Today’s lesson: his God-given ability to spin rambling monologues around the semiautomatic repetition of familiar words, phrases and anecdotes. Victory will be ours as long as we don’t “lose our nerve,” he said four more times Tuesday (saving the sister sound bite “shake our will” for Wednesday).

One of the president’s favorite education tools is to tack the word “see” to the front or back of any statement to sound like he’s conveying key information. (On Wednesday: “An interesting debate in the world is whether or not freedom is universal, see . . .” Then, two seconds later, “See, I believe freedom is universal.”)

Yes, I see. Unfortunately, every time Bush instructs me to “see,” he reminds me of those Mugsy-type gangsters on Bugs Bunny. (“You dirty terrorists. You’ll never shake our will, see.”)

<snip>

Yes, when the president hops on a word, he sure rides it into the sunset. Take “threat,” for example. It popped out of the presidential piehole 16 times in Cleveland and another 20 in West Virginia, where he packed nine “threats” into this edited 40-second spiel: “I saw a threat in Iraq. I’ll tell you why I saw a threat. . . . Congress in both political parties saw a threat. My predecessor saw a threat. I mean, my predecessor saw a threat and . . . The world saw a threat. . . . We saw a threat. I’ll tell you why I saw a threat. I saw a threat because . . .”

7. Remember when he called himself a Threat Seer the other day?
"Ah'm a Threat Seer, see. A Threat Seer is someone who sees threats and reacts to them."

See?

3. Here a threat there a threat, everywhere a threat threat.... but he
is afraid to see a threat in N. Korea, is afraid to acknowledge that India and Pakistan were about to be extreme threats to each other, is afraid to see the threat of no healthcare for 45 million Americans, is afraid to see the threat of the 100x (at least) increase in hatred for the U.S. in ME nations cuz of his pigheaded ways, and he is afraid to see the threat that his own retreating party is putting on him as we speak. Moran to the hilt.

6. And Threat Seer, The Hugger, and The Weeper. He actually ..
referred to himself as all 4 of those in a matter of minutes in a speech this past week.

"Ah'm a Threat Seer, see. A Threat Seer is someone who sees threats and reacts to them."

See.

So there.

5. very funny, clever article. After watching * make some speeches last wk
I had to turn the tube off, it was just too much with the bumbly rambling. However, his religious base thinks he's the Messiah so I'm sure they loved it that he went on about nothing substantial.

9. Perseveration is what we call the endless reptition of a word or
phrase and it indicates significant damage to the speech areas of the brain.

He's already dysarthric, meaning his speech is badly slurred.

I think he's a sick man who needs to get out of office ASAP.

10. I will second that. I was in Texas while he was busy ruining the State
and, even though they didn't let him out much, his speech was much clearer back then.

He still, however, suffered from that weird Bushian syntax syndrome.

11. My favorites are...
when he's trying to scare us all by warning us of all the evil-doers out there who are lurking. Lurking, and planning. Lurking, planning, and plotting.

They're lurkers. Lurkers and planners...and plotters.

12. In his little mind he sees them - lurking, plotting...
killing innocent life.
