neutralize immigration issue: ask for forfeiture laws for employers
There are fewer employers than immigrants, so if people really cared about illegal immigrants working here, we could seize the assets of those who hire them.

Every farmer, sweatshop owner, and Beverly Hills housewife would think twice about hiring an illegal if they saw their neighbor lose their shit.

It has been used for decades with drugs, so why not here?

This would be a good way to call the GOP bluff.

They don't want to do away with their supply of cheap labor as Bush's guest worker program shows.

I personally don't give a rat's ass one way or the other. I like Latinos and don't see them taking my job. I don't care if it's an American or immigrant picking my berries either, as long as they are paid a fair wage for their work.

11. the only problem with my own suggestion: righties don't want to solve
the "problem;" they just don't like different looking people speaking a foreign language and want to bitch about it.

The business republicans just want the cheap labor, so will insure that the illegals are neither kept out nor given our labor law protections.
