But, technically, discussing Hillary is on topic for this post. She is up for reelection this year.

6. It takes focus away from what's right in front of us
That's why. It derails conversations about NOW for conversations about speculative horse racing.

And when you mention HGillary, it suck the oxygen out of the room for anything else.

5. I think more than anything..
... some of us feel the need to do whatever we can to stop the Hillary juggernaut now.

You talk about 2006, but many are already basically working on their 2008 campaigns.

8. I agree completely.
In fact , taking back control of Congress is MUCH more important then having the presidency.

10. I asked mods for a separate 2006 Forum
we need a separate forum for 2006. Otherwise everything 2006 gets lost among day to day issues and 2008.

12. You are absolutely correct....
But when I see one of these 2008 threads, I can't seem to resist....

But yes, without a win in 2006, as bad as things are, they will for sure get worse! And that's the truth!

14. Couldn't agree more. The only way to stop the rot is...
..to take back the House. As soon as the Dems control the agenda in the House the * administration will constantly be on the back foot...and not a moment too soon...Besides, if we do things right Nancy Pelosi will be the next President after Chimp and Dead-Eye Dick are forced to resign... ;-)

Let's focus on 2006, and look at 2008 after we take back the House this fall...
