"Could 9/11 have been avoided if Moussaoui was tortured?"

To his credit Oliver North, (who I have no love for) said torture doesn't work, but it's the subject that's distasteful. FOX knows exactly what this topic is supposed to illicit in their viewers minds regardless of what anyone says on the show.

10. true. If anything, we have learned that M. should go to the loony bin.
No wonder the others wanted nothing to do with him. His confession strikes me as a ploy for publicity, not a true confession.

In purely clinical terminology, using DSM-IV rev., he is nuttier than a pecan pie.

2. Maybe it could have been avoided if the FBI and * had read the
briefings handed to them. THEY should be on trial too.

4. Right on.
It clearly was not a lack of information that lead to the attacks of 9/11 happening.

26. So what group do we have to deport to avoid another OKC bombing? We have
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 08:48 PM by WePurrsevere
our own home grown nut cases and extremists and many seem to be "christian", male and "white" (like the OKC terrorists) so along with the Muslims we'd have to deport all of them too... I mean what's "good" for the Muslims is "good" for those like Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Bush, Cheney, etc right? It seems to me that after a while of "they came for..." there wouldn't be much of anyone left in America.

(the above is meant to be tongue and cheek to point out how absurd this mentality is.)

5. Could Bill O'Reilly shut up if you tortured HIM?
Because that's what torture is being used for in Iraq. It's an instrument of fear and intimidation.

There's no useful information coming out of Abu Ghraib or Guantanamo or Bagram.

8. I guess it's no surprise it came from Cavuto
He's not as wacky far-right as guys like Hannity are, so they have to endear him to their viewers by making outrageous headlines like that. It's almost comical how stupid some of them are. "Rising Oil Prices -- Good for America?" "Civil War in Iraq -- Good for the Stock Market?" "What's the Fuss About Torture?" Yadda yadda.

12. 9-11 would have been prevented if bush did his job
instead he LET IT HAPPEN ON PURPOSE because bush needed 9-11 as an excuse to attack a country which had nothing to do with 9-11. Awesome "conservative" logic. It's how you think when you are schooled by PNAC. I wonder when faux will get around to this story.

13. Could 9/11 have been avoided if Bush read his memos?
Instead of haring off for a month's vacation after a grueling six months on the job?

After the inept attempt to smear the outgoing Clinton administration, the feeble response to the Chinese when they captured one of our spy planes, and the death of those Japanese fishermen caused by joy-riding campaign contributors, someone somewhere apparently sized up the Bush administration, figured they weren't quite as vigilant as the Clinton administration had been, and decided it would be a good time to launch their attack. And boy, were they right.

Four and a half years after that fateful day, the alleged masterminds of the plot are still at large, and the only fish snared so far is a delusional guy who seems to relish inflating his role in the attack.

14. Tortured? The FBI was trying as hard as it could to ignore Moussaoui
How could the Bush Crime Family, along with the FBI, pull off 9-11 if Moussaoui spilled the beans??

Where are the black boxes you guys picked up at the WTC? Do they prove the lack of hijackers?

23. Just by posing this "question," Faux scores points with its viewers...
Any "discussion" of this ridiculous topic is superfluous, in terms of the mind-set of the average Faux viewer. They still see no difference between Saddam and Osama, or Iraq and al Queda. :grr:

As the chronic Faux-watcher pops the top on another Bud, he sees the banner reading "Could 9/11 have been avoided if Moussaoui was tortured?", and in his mind he's screaming "HELL, YES!"

The right wing has been incredibly enabled by their 24/7 "news" outlet. :grr:

He seem mentaly deranged. Could 4 years in Bush Regime Prison, plus Torture have contributed to his mental demise?
