My hat's off to the DU Kerry supporters !

A current poll matching Kerry vs Clark shows Clark getting 196 votes (85%) and Kerry getting only 35 total votes, (15%)

For a candidate with such weak backing here on DU (confirmed by poll numbers), the small number of DU Kerry supporters have managed, with their frequent and creative posts, to create the impression that there is much more support for Kerry than the numbers really show. If someone didn't know better, they would get the impression that Kerry had the same sort of support here on DU as he does in the "real world"

The numbers however tell a VERY different story.

6. appreciate the compliment. HOWEVER....

Democratic Underground clearly is a bit more--no, a LOT more left leaning than the typical Democrat in America. I'm happy to see that the hype is being exposed and we see who the truly electable candidates are. Kerry/Edwards would be my choice. We'll sure know a lot more about this after tomorrow.

Good luck. I sure hope Dean lives up to his word and wholeheartedly backs Kerry if Kerry gets the nomination. Otherwise, he is a liar and makes himself out to look like a guy who clearly should NEVER have had a chance to be the most powerful man in the world.
