Isn't the Conservative political strategy short sighted?
What's going to happen when they run out of people to hate?

1. The Rapture will be here long before then, they say
So long-term thinking doesn't matter to them.

I wish I were kidding, but no sarcasm here.

2. I guess if they return to the hatred of some of the oldie-goldies...
African-Americans, honmosexuals, women, etc. it will be the closest thing to recycling that many of them ever get.

3. People to hate are like Doritos.
When the bowl runs out they can always make more.

What is a wonder is how far people have been willing to let the country sink into the quicksand. Hate is serious hooch. Rats will eat cocaine until they die. No telling how far the Republicans will take us all down the sewer.

4. Yes, I'm sure that there are leaders in the Republican party
who understand that they cannot continue to be the party of white christians for ever, and that the groups of people who are singled out as the enemy tend to have long memories. It seems like they just can't help themselves, because the hate just takes on a momentum of it's own.
