Today is the two-year anniversary of the liberal radio network that was supposed to go dark after 6 months. Today they're heard on 85 stations plus XM Satellite Radio (or you can stream `em online, which tons of people do). To think that two years and one day ago it was almost impossible to hear liberal voices on the radio. People like Tom Oliphant, Paul Krugman, David Brock, Melanie Sloan, E.J. Dionne, David Sirota, Howard Dean, Joe Conason, a gaggle of Democratic Reps and Senators and ex-presidents and policy wonks, and yes, even Kos. It's not just talk radio---it's crack for the reality-based soul.

Happy Birthday, Air America. You're still having fun...and it's contagious.

3. Welcome to the Terrible Twos, AAR!

I subscribe to AAR Premium, and it's really the best $10.95 I spend a month. I listen to the shows I want, when I want, without commercials. I can listen to Maron or Malloy, Franken or the Majority Report as the mood strikes. I used to spend my days listening to right wing talk radio, gritting my teeth. I felt so isolated. With AAR (and DU!) I feel like part of a growing American progressive community that is finally starting to take back this country from the kooks!

So congratulations to everyone at AirAmerica Radio for two years of taking the fight to the right! Here's to the next 20!
