Feingold has the deck stacked against him, re: Senate hearings
Edited on Fri Mar-31-06 11:15 AM by killerbush
I was listening to the Senate hearing on Russ Feingold's censure resolution against Bush, and from the outset, he has the deck stacked against him. On the Republican side, we had Arlen Specter, Lindsey Graham, Jeff Sessions, and Orrin Hatch, badmouthing both Feingold, and the resolution. The Feingold supporters are Bruce Fein, and John Dean. It looks like Feingold, and his supporters are going to have a tough time with the deck stacked against them. As usual, the Democrats have no spine.:grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:

2. Principled stands always battle uphill. Feingold is aware of the
reaction he would likely receive and battles on anyway.

I don't see this as anything negative regarding Russell Feingold, especially in view of the possibility that thousands of U.S. voters will be watching it on C-Span, and may have call to reassess their roles as citizens in a functioning democracy.

Three cheers for Feingold.

3. Tough time? Is that you call certain defeat & play at humiliation?
I really hate this DCDem insider bullshit. It's time for the grassroots to quit the DCDems and sweep the assholes out of office.

7. I can't vote in that many states. But yes the assholes need to go.
Maintaining nearly half the senate but only influencing about 3% of what happens is not good either.

Get realistic

5. Really tired of the Dems not standing up for this nation.
I know I will take it in the chin here for this statement, but can I please get away with this one criticism of the Dems, as Feingold is surrounded by empty Dem senator chairs? Huh?

6. Spector is really pissing me off. I wish one repug
would have an ounce of integrity. Also listening to him, I wish he would stop referring to The Gang Of 8. That sounds so juvenile and childlike to me. For gods sakes these are the people in charge. Who's idea was that immature slogan? We are in deep do-do.
