1. Those get printed in Hustler
and about 6 months ago he all but advocated the overthrow of the Federal Government.

God bless Larry. I don't always agree with him, but he is a true patriot.

8. Why don't you want the door to hit him?`
Personally, I'd like to see the door hit him square on the ass, knocking him down onto the pavement. You know, like when he rides a bike, except without the bike.

4. No...He's not so bad
From day one Larry Flynt has been about the 1st ammendment.
I don't think choosing Cinci as headquarters for his publications was coincidental. They fought him every inch of the way, and he could have easily moved to Los Angeles where he would barely have been noticed.

instead..
He chose the fight when he was told there were certain things he's not allowed to publish.
He chose the fight when "conservatives" first road-tested the concept of a free speech zone.
He chose a fight for free speech that landed him in a wheelchair, but he still hasn't given up.

Larry Flint should go to the history books as a champion for the 1st ammendment, not a sleazy pornographer. Few Americans would have continued that fight.

7. I'm not exactly a fan of Flynt or Howard Stern, either -- BUT...
If they convince more people to vote Democratic, more power to 'em.

9. There's some fun stuff on Larry's blog:
Go to his home page. Check out the article about the fundie preacher who stepped into waist-deep water and grabbed a microphone!

ASSHOLE OF THE MONTH: Reverend Kyle Lake:

Standing in waist-deep water, the high-profile preacher reached out to grab a microphone—and KA-BLAMMO! The Lord God smote the Bible thumper into kingdom come with a holy jolt of Old Testament-style vengeance. Apparently, Lake—like the rest of his flock—was unaware of the cold, hard fact that water conducts electricity. Now that’s stupid!

<snip>

With the Rev smoldering like a burning bush, the entire stunned congregation fell into a lemminglike trance of feverish prayer. But God wasn’t swayed. No, sirree. The laws of both physics and electricity would not be reversed.

<snip>

Specializing in youth outreach, Lake worked zealously to make religious conformity cool while indoctrinating the Lone Star State’s future doctors, researchers and educators with mindless dogma. The University Baptist Church is not only located in a deeply conservative and evangelical part of Texas, but is also a mere 14 miles from Crawford. That cowtown is the seemingly too-frequent vacation home of another Christian fundamentalist idiot, President George W. Bush.
