Why can't the Republicans in Congress look at themselves in the mirror?

See the big man cry, Mommy. See the chump that believed the lies of politicians. See the politicians that believed the lies of chumps. Yes, they whisper to themselves, "I am a conservative". And tomorrow they vote for another increase in the debt limit. It's up to $9 trillion now. Yes, they tell themselves, "If it wasn't for the recession that Clinton left us and the stock market crash and 9/11 and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, we would still have a balanced budget...." And they feel better when they repeat the lies to each other. The lies become more believable. However, in their hearts, they carry the weight.

how deluded these people are. They tell themselves the lies in order to reinforce their alternate view of reality....they see the world so totally differently than us....they believe fantasy and pass around rumors masquarading as fact to reinforce their version of reality.

They don't know that they're telling themselves lies.

They don't know that they're living in an alternate universe.

They just congratulate themselves.

The sad reality is there's a tiny handful of decent congresspeople from each party and the rest are skunks --- professional pols --- in bed with lobbyists, corporations & Bush --- 99% of them voted for the goddamn, so-called "Patriot" Act --- who should all be voted the hell out. Keep the few good ones like Feingold and the rest can bugger off.
