RI US Senate Primary Candidates Respond to 25 Questions
I'd like to get your overall impression on Sheldon, Matt and I based upon our replies. This will be very helpful during our campaign. Thanks. Carl

1. Excellent
Carl,
I was impressed by all three of you. But I am most impressed with you, because you had the guts to put up that "Impeach Bush" billboard. I wish Oklahoma had some Democrats like you three. Good job!

2. I liked all three of the candidates' responses.
One very important point that I think the candidates should all make is that the balance of the U.S. Senate majority may very well be within the hands of the Rhode Island voters. Talk about empowerment!
I think Chafee is probably generally liked by the voters in RI, but there is something more at stake. Rhode Island voters have too big an opportunity to control the future direction of the U.S. Senate. Chafee sure isn't a "moderate" when it comes to voting for Senate leadership. He's voted for Trent Lott and Dr. Fristenstein. Not exactly moderates in any Rhode Islander's book, I'm sure.
I feel the Democratic candidates should pound home the theme that a vote for Chaffee is also a vote for Frist, Lott, even Tom DeLay and the agenda of George W. Bush.
This is a rare opportunity for RI voters to have so much power. You're generally ignored during Presidential elections. Make sure you voters know what a historical opportunity they have.

3. Well done, Carl
I wish you luck in teh primary and in November. There is no reason RI should be represented by a Republican any more.
