1. It is not so much that he is worried about Cindy Sheehan, but that he
now has info that the Easter Bunny will be boycotting the ranch anyway, so what's the use. Might as well stay at the White House.

Some Presidents cant get any respect.

24. LOL... too funny
You don't mean to tell me even the Easter Bunny is avoiding His Royal Chimpness, do you? And to think, the Easter Bunny isn't even having to raise funds for re-election this November. The only thing that could insult bushie more is if up-and-coming Starlets start publically giving him the brush-off. lol

4. Raw Story just posted the details:

Excerpts from the forthcoming article (Waco Tribune-Herald in Monday editions):

President Bush calls the 1,600-acre ranch he owns outside Crawford with his wife, Laura, "our little slice of heaven," but some experts question whether anti-war demonstrators are making the Western White House a less attractive getaway.

"That used to be his sanctuary, out in the middle of rural Texas where he could get his mind off his troubles," said Bruce Buchanan, a professor of political science at the University of Texas who specializes in presidents. "And now his troubles are right down the street."

....

"If you look at presidents throughout history, they have all wanted to escape Washington to get away from it all," said James Riddlesperger, chairman for political science at Texas Christian University. "If you look at the White House, it can be the first residence or the first prison." The added attention at Crawford makes it less of a getaway than it was in the first term, Riddlesperger said. "My guess is that Crawford is a little less inviting than it used to be," he said.

7. I don't think he gives a rats ass about that "ranch"
It's just a way for him to appear more like Raygun and less like his wimpy father. But it doesn't work. At least Ronnie could ride a horse and actually split firewood they used to heat the house. * brush clearing is a ploy to make him appear manly to the press (or maybe to himself).

12. Yeah, the brush clearing has become such a joke.
But, those photo ops done in front of a tractor loaded with bales of hay are even funnier!

And, good, I'm thrilled to think that his rrraaaaanch is not such a hideaway anymore.

10. I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you!! SHOCKED!!!
How horrible that Bush must cut back on his precious time at the Crawford Ranch. What horrendous event has necessitated this development?!?!?!

I'll ask the question that must be asked: Who will clear the brush while he's away?

14. His beloved sanctuary for eight whole years. What a phoney.Karl
had him buy it to put up an appearance of Silver Spoon Boy being a "man of the people."

This ranch sham of his reminds me of LBJ as much or more than it does of Reagan.LBJ had a home in the Texas Hill Country west of Austin.Of course,LBJ was actually born and raised in the house referred to as the Western White House during his presidency.Soon as Bush is out of office you know his "little slice of heaven"either goes on the market or sits vacant.

Hey Smirk, if you don't feel welcome at Crawford go to Kennebunkport. They probably don't want you there either but you should feel right at home in Poppy's compound.

A Reckoning In Crawford Texas

Protest Bush for not stopping the illegal alien invasion Saturday May 6 , 2006

The good citizens of the United States of America with the help of the patriotic media will be in Crawford Texas to lawfully and peacefully demonstrate
against George W. Bush's lack of enforcement of immigration law. For calling the Minutemen and other border watchers "vigilantes",

for not directing ICE to round up illegal aliens in our cities,

for willfully failing to put our miltary on the border,

For being a Mexican president and the best friend an illegal alien can have,

for putting American citizens last. We, the American people will be in Crawford Texas May 6 2006 , for a reckoning. Join us! God Bless America
