Poll question: When is the "International Option" appropriate for a domestic issue?
Edited on Sun Apr-02-06 07:25 PM by Pushed To The Left
Looks like the ACLU is going International on the Hurricane Katrina disaster:

This got me thinking: What other domestic issues would the "International Option" be appropriate? If Frist and the far right want to use the "nuclear option" to stack the courts even more next time there is a vacancy, maybe the ACLU and other human rights groups can use the "International Option" to protect the voice of the rest of America. Of course, the far right is livid about this, but I think that those in power need to be held accountable! On what issue besides Katrina do you think this would be appropriate?

2. you compare stuff that cannot be compared
some issues named here are minor issues that can be very controversial but hardly in breach with international law. Other issues like voting procedures or infringements of human rights are in a complete different category.

5. Most honest answer: When it coincides with your own opinion.
