Why has George Bush gone down so fast in the polls in one month ?
He is now at the lowest of his entire time in office. Both Kerry and Edwards beat him in the polls and Clark is within MOE...What's the deal?

Is it because of the latest news about the WMDs not being found and not expected to be found? Or is it the huge deficits that have turned many conservatives against him? Obviusly they were not pleased when they refigured the Medicare costs...

Or is it the Democratic message that is getting out in these debates and the excitement of the Democratic primaries is making news on every network? When was the last time you can remember a primary being so exciting? Why is it so exciting?

But whatever it is, George W Bush wishes that it would stop. If this keeps up, he will be down to 40% or lower by Super Tuesday on March 2nd. The Democrats need to keep doing what they are doing.

1. agreed
that's why i think none of them should bow out, even if they are down to their last dime. constant exposure on the airwaves until July ought to leave a mark. :)

4. It's all fake, I think. Remember, the Survivor script I was
talking about? Media are in the business of entertaining and getting high ratings... You do that by creating stories. Elections are boring if there is no suspense. Tweak a few questions and you got your polls that show Bush being down. Wow! The strong guy seems down, he's losing terrain. Will the underdogs catch up with him ? It's all fake, guys, you can ignore that stuff, especially national polls this early in the season...

20. You're right, the media is playing a poll game
Remember that poll that showed Dean pulling up into a dead heat with Kerry in NH? And all the polls showing Bu$h beating Gore by double digits? It's entertainment BS.

5. People have put it together.
They see the President blame the intelligence community, but they remember that Cheney leaned on the intelligence comminity to get the results he wanted for his Iraq war. Therefore, the President is a liar. That don't sit too well.

6. I have an idea
all of his spending. Which is bringing him down among republicans. But in the end the republicans will decide that the democrat nominee will probably spend more - and they will go back to Bush. I recently heard some polling expert say that Bush's numbers are actually on par with most people at the end of their first term. This isn't really anything new. I'm just saying that so no one will get too comfortable. We have a long way to go.

And if he finds Osama - well that could really clinch it. Mentally I like to be prepared for a let down. The 2002 election caught me by surprise after Mcualiffe was promising us huge sweeping victories that never panned out. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than over optimistic and then be devastated. But thats just me. I'm naturally a pessimist!

7. Because, my friend...
His bluff is played. he has run the table one last time, and everyone is on to him. Consider Clinton's popularity during the impeachment imbroglio: it was never higher. People got it. They just didn't sustain it, and I am afraid that Al Gore couldn't sustain it either. Plus, there were The Florida Electoral Olympic Games in there, too.

One last thing: His popularity is tanking because he sucks, and people are grasping that now. I don't think that it is in a Bush to be a closer.

8. It's not what we're doing. It's what George is doing.
George is destroying himself with a perfection rarely seen.

To woo Hispanics, he proposed an immigration initiative that insulted them and enraged his conservative base.

He, and his handlers, honestly believe they can hand us the line and ignore the substance EVERY TIME. They really do. It's kind of awesome.

But the people they are screwing are seriously beginning to notice.

he's really going for the Trifecta....

500+ billion deficit - so the budget hawks hate him
immigration policy - so the racist freepers hate him
WMD, what WMD - so the general public feels duped

i swear we could run Sharpton at this rate.

9. For one thing his
SOTU speech sure showed that he is just not in tune with the American public with his priorities. He's not believable on the WMD's either. More soldiers are getting killed each day so Sadaam's capture hasn't stopped anything. Long way to go until Nov. and he has lots of money so not too excited about this yet.

13. WMDs and the AWOL issue, for starters.
One those two issues alone, he is shown to be both a liar and a hypocrite. I think Americans are plain fed up with this lousy economy, outraged over the huge deficits, and disgusted with our international standing.

Now, they have seen our candidates. They are getting hopeful. They are realizing there are alternatives.

22. Democratic primaries is making news on every network
I think this is one of the main reasons. It is also the reason, I do not want the nomination rapped up yet. The longer the media carries news about our candidates, the less bush and his smear machine has a chance to be heard.

We need to keep the race close and competitive and then all come together to support the choosen candidate.

24. Republicans haven't started their attack ads against Kerry yet
Just wait.

By late summer, the entire heartland of america will believe that Kerry is a war protesting (while voting for the wrong war), librul, wealthy elitist, living off his wife's money, passing laws to make your taxes go up and supporting welfare cheats, who will welcome terraists into the country, encourage more good xtians to become gay, and who probably thinks the French people are cool.

Just wait.

It has not even begun, the slamming and slurring and dirty tricks, and lies.

Hell, I don't even support Kerry and I'm sickened just knowing what is coming in the attacks.

If their current polls show any of our candidates beating Bush, that means if the election were held today, it would be a landslide.

31. Spending and immigration...
cost him his base. And the ABB sentiment among democrats just keeps growing. And Dean has been bashing him for a solid year. Even while they took Dean down they reported what he said about Saddam's capture not making America safer and the rest. Clark has made some excellent charges against bush and Peter Jennings asking about bush's AWOL status. In the end, you can't have over 1/2 of the democrats as pissed off and talking to everyone they know about how bad bush is without it affecting others. People are genuinely concerned 4 more years of bush would destroy this country. I am so glad noone is saying that there just isn't a choice this year-all the candidates are alike! Democrats are offering a real choice and a different future than bush offers.
