Unlike a snake, where you can chop off the head and the body will die, the present US Congress is the exact opposite. The head of the government is pushed along by the body and bites whatever or whomever is in his path. He's a dangerous serpent. And there's only one way to slow him down.

Kill the body. And how is that done? They must be changed by the people. They must be voted out this next election. Without the Senate and/or the House, this little serpent of a leader will be defanged. We cannot take more of this poison.

While I'd like to "trust" that my electronic vote will actually register in the correct column I was one of those that watched my Kerry vote jump to the Bush column and even though I think it was corrected after witnessing that I have serious doubts that the next election will be any more legitimate.

My fingers, toes and eyes are crossed that the fix isn't already in.
