some hilarious Freeptard posts!! on DeLay dropping out
1- IMO, DeLay is prepping for a possible Presidential run. It's good that he's stepping down and taking a breather, and fighting these stupid charges against him.

Get some R & R, DeLay. We need you in '08.

2- There goes one of the last pubbies with a set of nuts.

3- Another successful assassination with malice aforethought.

The republicans get taken down, trashed, careers destroyed, all on trumped up knowingly false charges while the real law breaking, traitorous acts of dimRats get swept under the rug.

When are we going to stand up and fight back!

4- Maybe he gets no support from the WH just like Mr Tancredo. Seems conservatives get pushed to the rear. Or in the rear.

5- True and unfortunate. It's Bush's fault.

6- Sorry to see this happen. Will he become a lobbyist? <sarcasm off/

No, really, I would expect him to run for office again.

7- Is he crazy? It sure makes him look guilty of something to abruptly end his long career this way.

Is it the Abramoff scandalin action?

 :toast: :bounce: :smoke: :hi: :loveya:

I didn't include a link in order to save normal people from vomit-inducing ignorance.

I selected only the most entertaining and "light-hearted" posts.

8. Dems "can't win elections fairly, so they use trumped-up charges"
Edited on Tue Apr-04-06 03:35 AM by AussieDave
Here's the full quote:

To: TheLion
"Under constant fire from Democrats, indicted on state charges and embroiled in a federal investigation"

===

The Dems found a new way of getting rid of Republicans. They can't win elections fairly, so they use tumped-up charges, and they pound on it, until the object of their attack gives up. Republicans should support their own -- remember when the Dem conned the Republicans into getting rid of Newt, then Trent Lott, now DeLay -- they are finding it that it keeps working.

Republicans need to fight back, or they will keep picking off each effective Republican one by one.

9. I want some of what he's smoking.

I'm starting to think Freepers are mostly freaked out potheads.

Yeah, this year is going to be a seriously bad trip for them, and it doesn't end there. The payback they're going to get for the past five years is going to be a bitch.

Comes around. Let's just hope he doesn't get away without prosecution. The dirtiest politician in America shouldn't be able to drop out when he's found out.

19. Yeah, his chief of staff pleading guilty has the same effect
Why isn't DeLay outlawing the court system and all repealing all the laws? Then he wouldn't be guilty of anything!

Hey, maybe I should send this idea to the RNC. It's about the only thing they haven't tried.
