2. And here's something even weirder.

When Nicholas Berg went missing in Iraq, and Berg's parents were frantically petitioning Rumsfeld to release him, some of the news artcles contained a story about Nicholas having been interviewed by the FBI not long after 9/11. Remember the computer Colleen Rowley wanted to get into, BEFORE 9/11, and got stonewalled by the DC FBI? Moussaoui's computer. She never got into it. 9/11 happened. THEN they got into Moussaou's computer, and what did they find, but Nicholas Berg's email account and password. So Nicholas tells the FBI he just happened to meet Moussaoui on a bus one day and loaned him his computer. The FBI are satisfied with this tale, and later permit Nicholas Berg--a man connected to Zacharias Moussauoi--to enter Iraq and wander around during the Fallujah uprising, looking for business for his small telecommunications firm. Nicholas disappears--he is in *U.S.* custody for about 10 days, in Iraq--and then turns up beheaded on tape (if that's what happened), and his death becomes a cause celebre among freepers trying to deflect attention from the recently released first set of Abu Ghraib photos (May '04, six months before the election).

Damndest newstream I ever followed. Led nowhere, as news. No follow-up. But I'm still flabbergasted by it.

This is ONE OF THE REASONS I am hoping against hope that they don't execute Moussaoui. What a foolish thing to do to the only suspect we have for 9/11 and who knows what else?

4. About Rowley...

Just the other day I heard something on the news. It was reported that she couldn't get the ability to look into M's computer because of the FISA court. Sounds like bullshit to me. But something I figured to pass along because it's fairly current.

As for M getting the death penalty. You remember Stanley Kubrick's film - Paths of Glory? Someone has to be sacrificed to set an example and to satisfy the public. If M passes out, they'll pinch his cheeks to wake him up in time to die. Mark my words. He's going to die to satisfy freeper blood lust.

Thanks so much for your reply. Like Malloy said about all this when the caller tonight related what she'd read - that it's so frustrating how you get information, reach for it and it turns to smoke.

What's special about that?

Microsoft Flight Simulator (an actual program) is available everywhere, and all the controls and navigation instruments work, complete realistically. It can be set to be a 747, or any of several other types of airplanes.

The co-pilot who died in Friday's plane crash with Sen. Paul
Wellstone played a minor role in the story involving Zacarias
Moussaoui, the accused Sept. 11 conspirator who briefly attended an
Eagan flight school.

Co-pilot Michael Guess, 30, had performed administrative work at the
Pan Am International Flight Academy last year as he continued
accumulating flying hours. There he met Moussaoui, the school's most
infamous student.

Two former Pan Am program managers who tipped the FBI to Moussaoui's
suspicious behavior at the school in August 2001 said Guess
inadvertently gave Moussaoui unattended access to a computer program
on flying a 747 jumbo jet. One of the ex-managers said Guess placed a
CD-ROM containing the 747 software at a work station in advance of one
of Moussaoui's training sessions, before his flight instructor
arrived. After Moussaoui was arrested and the FBI searched his
belongings, they found the proprietary program copied on his laptop
computer, the ex-manager said.
