I know this isn't what you are getting at, but I can't help myself. :-(
Many VA Dems - and Wes Clark - are supporting a guy who trashed Kerry's VVAW work and wrote that we should've stayed in Vietnam...guy became a Republican when Carter gave amnesty to draft resisters, only switched back recently (I guess) to run against Allen.
I raised the trashing Kerry / VVAW bit on dailykos and was told, essentially to "forget Vietnam." :eyes:
(although I have to say at least Wes supporters here have been a little more understanding of the issue. I cannot comprehend Wes' endorsement, though.)
How can someone who thought Vietnam was a war that should be fought, a war America should've stayed in, then oppose the Iraq War on anything except strategic grounds - which many republicans do, also?
