Taking back the House is only half the job....

If we win the House in November, and that's still a big "if" at this time, but if we do, the job is only half finished. Because even with control of the House, George W Bush is still president for 2 more years. A Democratic House is not going to get much done with a Republican in the White House. We will have to wait until 2008 to complete the job. Only with a president that will suppport a Democratic Congress will be able to once again make progress as a nation.

It is a necessity that we win the House in November but I would suspect we would then see the first Bush veto. So it is paramount that we maintain the House and then win the White House in 2008 if we are going to put this country back on firm ground. It's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll. :)
