Project For a New Liberal America

As Dems/liberals, why are you supporting FOX news, Chris Matthews
and CNN?

Cancel Your Cable Bill and tell them why.

We should be able to pay for individual channels.

Instead of running our mouths and fighting amongst ourselves, what can we DO
in mass to change things?

I’m not talking about writing letters to our representatives, I’m talking about
what WE could do.

Time has passed and I don’t know what progress has been made about the accuracy of Diebold voting Machines.

What are your ideas for effective civil disobedience and using our economic power
as a group?

Are you with me on canceling your cable bill at least, or is this place just a bitchfest?

1. You couldn't get these TV addicts to cancel their cable if you

....well insert whatever ludicrous scenario here.

2. First.
Do not buy goods made in China. This is good for American workers. Yeah, you'll have to buy imports but avoid those made in China and Hong Kong.

This does not change the politics, but it costs you very little and helps our underlying economy.

You can also skip Mal-Wart.

Second: You can speak out without holding back because someone will disagree with you. That's the person you need to speak with.

10. I’m so tired of the nonproductive bitchfest threads.

3. Yep
I've canceled cable two years ago, not that I told them why nor has it put a dent in their pocketbook. But if we all cancelled and told them why, then maybe we can start making some changes.

4. I already don't have cable.
I can't afford it. I do miss some of the programming and certain channels, though. Alacarte pricing seems like a good idea to me.

5. I can't wait for a la carte.
I'll keep the nerdy channels and cancel all of the crap, and that includes CNN, MSNBC, and FAUX.

7. Yep :)
The TV news channels are becoming more and more biased and not that useful anymore. News (without all of the spin and bias) can be gotten elsewhere.

6. No Cable Here! Woo Hoo!!
News from the Net. Movies from NetFlix. No need for sitcoms or Discover Channel (AKA-US MILITARY ADVERTISEMENT 24/7)

11. If possible...
keep your money in a small credit union or other small independent financial institution, there are some around, rather than the mega-corporate conglomerate banks. (I need to put my money where my mouth is!)
