What are DEMS saying ON TV about the Tweety/DeLay incident?
Remember when all the Republicans with media access raised hell about Dan Rather whenever they were on TV?

Where are our guys?

And for the love of Christ, dont hand me that "Democrats dont have media access" crap- Dean was on the Chris Matthews show today- he could have brought it up, even jokingly.

My question to everyone who is calling for Chris to be held accountable is:

What are Democrats with media access doing to make that happen?

1. GE: "We bring good things to life. Autorank: "Tweetie is re-animated"
There's a Democrat responding. I think that Matthews is simply beyond all hope. He's the consumate media whore (and I hope he reads this!). He pitches the GE right wing crap, something GE doesn't need since it's a great company. He acts like he's hot stuff, when his ratings are not even the size of Dayton, Ohio (think about it, Dayton, OH's population watches Chris). He's a joke.

4. Tweety will not be held accountable by anyone but a few bloggers.
The DEMs with media access will continue to pretend that they dont have to confront media bias.

11. Oh, I agree but be of good cheer. The people hold him accountable.
Only a couple hundred thousand watch his sorry ass. He's a mouthpiece without an audience. His influence is nil. He has no sway, just swag;)

I can't stand the guy.

I agree with you fully that no Dem has taken on the press bias. It's too obvious...media reflects corporate ownership's interests. But if someone chirps up, there go all those mega corporate contributions (that we DON'T get). It's time to throw caution to the wind (instead of pissing upwind).

I'm ready for an honest Huey Long!

2. Dont' hold your breath..
... Democrats have become the "party of waiting for the other team to fail". Actually doing something proactive is beyond them.

6. I guess they are just plain frightened of Chris Matthews, etc.
If it were me, I would openly challenge him, to his face.

I would hold up a DVD of the clip on his show and say "Why dont you show this clip so your audience can see who you root for while off camera."

Anything to expose the issue- but they just ignore it and give him a free pass.

5. They also fired Dan Rather due to open GOP criticism.

The main difference is that Repubs with media access were not too frightened to talk about it.

7. Here's my 2 cents...
Hey Tweety...why not try sticking to the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics for a change. Here's a link for a little refresher course...

But then I'd have to reveal my true identity, Barry Manilow...and you know what happened to the Dixie Chicks when they spoke out. Forgetit, keep your damn avatar. You're just trying to get me in trouble. I'm off to the shower to sing a few verses of "Mandy."

13. Tweety's GOP mantra this week: If Dems control congress they'll impeach
Edited on Thu Apr-06-06 03:28 AM by oasis
the president". He tossed that back and forth with Tom Delay yesterday in their 30 minute lovefest.

Dean was having none of Tweety's bs today and proudly proclaimed the Democrats "to do" list after fielding a number of dumbass questions about impeachment/censure.

14. The way things are nowadays,
Tweety better be careful talking about impeachment too much. The idea of it might drive undecided voters towards the Democratic Party instead of away from it, and Tweety wouldn't like that would he?.
