Blitzer…Monica/Whitewater = Iran/Contra and Watergate

Blitzer was talking to another Bush, Inc apologist on CNN just a minute ago and asked Bob if the leak scandal rose to the level of a Watergate, Iran/Contra, Monica or Whitewater.

Like Whitewater or Monica for that matter even comes close to those two GOP scandals. Nixon at least stepped down before he was impeached Reagan should have been impeached for what he did but alas Democrats rolled over like they always do.

1. Iran/Contra yes.
The other two? Well, how does outing a classified CIA person compare to having sex with a willing partner? As with Whitewater, as I recall, after years of investigation and millions of dollars spent, NOTHING WAS FOUND.

3. But don't you love the fact that "Cap" Weinberger's
death has precipated new coverage of Iran/Contra. A gift, I tell ya. (I am starting to imagine blessings from the Media gods.)

4. I'm surprised he had time with the news story of the century breaking.
I'm talking about Katie Couric moving to evening news of course.
On day three of this bogus story, I've reached a breaking point myself.

It was interesting to hear Blitz talk to Bill Bennett about Buxh leaking the name of a CIA agent.
Bennett took the opinion that Buxh was king and he can "declassify" anything he wants. As he put it "he's not a clerk".

Is this going to be the official tactic for the party?
Buxh exposed a CIA agent just because he didn't think it should be "classified"?
If so...They're in more trouble than they think.

5. That's the gulf between fair and balanced.
You can't have both of them most of the time. You can be fair, and say that the recent Republican scandals are much worse than the recent Democrat ones, or you can be balanced, and present both sets of scandals as being the same. But in all honesty, you can't have it both ways. That's the prinriple flaw with the idea of fair and balanced news. The term is associated with FOX, to be certain, but everyone claims they are fair and balanced. It's a contradiction in terms.

6. Leslie Blitzer is a right-wing shill and former Murdoch employee.
Craven, traitorous talking head.
