I don't care if the war is legal or moral. I'm opposed to this war just because it's a STUPID fucking war.


Everytime someone on TV brings up the war's legality or morality, 90% of the patrons at the bar start laughing or muttering in disgust at the comment. And each and every time this has happened, I make the above comment. And each and every time I have done so, 100% of the patrons -- unless one certain guy is there in which case it is 100% minus him -- raise a toast to that statement.

The simple fact is most people think "legal" and "war" are oxymorons. War is what you resort to when law fails. That doesn't make war wrong. But it is never, in most people's thinking, strictly legal. So to most people, calling a war "illegal" just makes you sound like a kook.

And, hey, if nothing else someone will probably buy you a beer when you make the above statement.
