Have Kerry or Clark Come Out About the Leak Scandal
Edited on Fri Apr-07-06 12:30 PM by leftyladyfrommo
Have we heard from them yet? Anybody know?

Kerry was good on the War Timetable thing - I just read that over on Raw Story. "Nobody spins me - period." (That is a paraphrase) That was great.

1. Kerry was on CNN, Hardball, Imus, talking about the leak. He'll also

3. And Imus was reportedly sucking up.

I did not watch. There is nothing in the world that could make me watch Imus.

On edit: there have been 13 threads mentioning Imus in the last 24 hours. I'm trying to make myself feel better cuz nobody ever replies to my posts.

2. Kerry has been on Hardball, CNN and Imus in the past 24 hours
He has been great and said that if Bush wanted to find the leaker, all he had to do was look in the mirror. :D

5. On one of those, Kerry said this is as serious as it gets.
I haven't heard anything about a comment from the General.

6. All Right!
Good for him.

I like John Kerry - always did.

And I like Clark.

I hope one of them runs.

11. I'd just about lose my mind if they ran together.
And that comes from someone who really admires and likes Edwards, too.

4. Kerry said Bush has been looking for himself for two years.
It came out sounding the same way people talk about OJ and his search for the real killer.

12. "the major leaguers"?
They better step out and up and call this administration out on all the blatant lies and the ridiculous appointments of sinister people to staff and even courts.
Every day there seems to be a new "bucket full" that sooner or later will have to be addressed and cleaned up! This administrations 51/2 years will take longer to rebuild than all the natural disasters of this nation! A couple of more years could destroy the country!

15. Harry Reid talked about it on the Senate Floor today.
He said that President Truman had a sign on his desk that said "The Buck Stops Here". Harry said that bush* should have a sign on his desk that says "The Leaks Start Here".

16. Wes Clark brought this stuff up long ago....most of it when it wasn't yet
Edited on Fri Apr-07-06 06:19 PM by FrenchieCat
fashionable. I'm sure that he is more than overjoyed that it is all now coming to fruition (better late than never).

it appears that there is very little need for Clark to feel compeled to have something to say right now, unless asked...as there is enough noise being generated about this scandal right now. I'm sure he's most likely has or will make a statement while campaigning for congressional candidates......as that is what he is doing.

Wes Clark is not someone who's just gonna jump in there when the Jumping in is good.....he can look at the result of his past labor, and feel good that he helped make a difference.

I'm sure he'll be speaking on this when he shows up on Fox....and it will be a doozie...

Here's an article on what Wes Clark was saying about this back in OCTOBER OF 2003!

Saturday, October 04, 2003

Wesley Clark Called for an Independent Probe of the Bush Administration's Use of Intelligence Before the Iraq War, Calling it "Twisted" and Possibly Criminal

Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark called on Friday for an independent probe of the Bush administration's use of intelligence before the Iraq war, calling it "twisted" and possibly criminal.

The retired four-star Army general and NATO commander who entered the 2004 White House race two weeks ago amid a flood of publicity and instantly rose among the leaders in some polls, said the American public needed to know if it was "intentionally deceived."

In his harshest indictment yet of President Bush Clark said the administration's "irresponsible" Iraq policy had put Americans in danger and the United States in crisis mode at home and abroad.

snip
"Nothing could be a more serious violation of public trust than to consciously make a war based on false claims," he told a conference of military reporters and editors. "Its handling of intelligence and its retaliation against its critics may have been criminal."

"INTELLIGENCE GAP"

"We need to know if we face an intelligence gap ... because the system has been twisted to suit the prejudices of the policy makers," Clark said.
